Decrapifying the Twitter Timeline

If you have been using Twitter recently, you may have noticed that other people’s “likes” are now showing up in your timeline. To make matters even worse, you will get notifications about these “likes” even for people whose retweets you have blocked… Fortunately, you can stop this nonsense and revert the timeline to its old behavior if you use the uBlock Origin browser extension.

1. Open the uBlock settings page.
2. Select the “My filters” tab.
3. Add the following filters:

   twitter.com##.tweet[data-component-context="suggest_activity_tweet"]
   twitter.com##.tweet[data-component-context="suggest_recycled_tweet_inline"]
   twitter.com##.tweet[data-component-context="suggest_pyle_tweet"]
   

4. Enjoy a timeline with less noise!
